With a design driven focus, BlueSage always brings the esthetics to your home, not just function or least expensive, but what is right. Andrew Rust (Lead Designer) has the knowledge and experience to create window coverings that complement your décor and environment. So, whether you are looking for an entire automated system or just wanting to freshen up a room or two, BlueSage has a window covering that will ‘make’ your room. Our goal is not just to sell you window coverings, but to suggest a style that enhances the features of your room to the best advantage.
Listed below is just a sampling of what we can provide.
Roller Shades are the least expensive window coverings and we offer them either as a Manual Lift or Automated. Solar fabric (a great fabric to retain visibility, but reduce glare, heat & UV) is the most common fabric, but that is changing. We now have some great new patterns providing privacy in both translucent and blackout, also natural and synthetic wovens are now available for rollers.
We automate Roller Shades the most and pretty much in solar fabric. Dual-mount is now available for either manual or automated which gives the opportunity to have two layers at a great price. And you can always layer Rollers under Roman Shades or Drapery.
Roman Shades are our most popular window cover – We offer 16 different styles, from tailored to soft, all at fixed square footage prices that include fabric, labor and lining – We also accept Customers Own Material (aka COM) – Besides fabric, Roman Shades can be made in Solar Fabric or Natural Woven material – Our high-quality shades are the best in the business and will give you a better looking and longer lasting shade.
Reasons for choosing Roman Shades over other soft window treatments such as drapery is they stack above a window without losing wall space and give height to a room. They are more finished and refined than hard window treatments such as mini-blinds, verticals or Duettes® – Roman Shades add style and grace to the décor of your room.
Drapery comes in a variety of different pleats/styles, from the traditional French pleat to the more contemporary Ripplefold. We have programs that include labor, fabric, and lining at set pricing and accept COM’s. Drapes can be fully operating or as side-panels (also known as dummy-panels). The one thing to consider about drapery is the stack-back, which will either take window or wall space and usually about a 1/3 of the distance if they are operable.
Using drapery is a great way to give a finish look to your window. If you have automated treatments, it’s a great way to hide wires and/or transformers.
Panel Track Systems is the most under used window covering option. Panel tracks are great for sliders as well as room dividers, because you can create a Shoji style look and use about any type of fabric even Plexi-glass. Fabric options are from Woven Woods to Solar fabric, to any drapery weight fabric.
Size of the panels are basically limited to the width of the fabric – You could do a system that is 23’ wide doing 5 Panels on a 5 Channel track, making the panels to be 57” wide each and having less than a 6” depth. For most, the biggest drawback is how many channels, verse panel width, verses overall depth which keeps them from considering this type of treatment.
Automation is the fastest growing segment within the window covering industry. With homes going smart (as well as our phones), automation gives you the flexibility to integrate your window coverings, and control them by your iPhone/iPad or Android, giving you convenience, energy efficiency and safety (no more dangling cords).
